Joseph Didn’t Need to Dream, And That Was Okay

Will You Ever Compare Peter & Paul?

Daniel was required to dream Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and interpret it, but Joseph had to interpret Pharaoh’s dream and proffer a solution.

It would have been unwise to consider Joseph’s accomplishments lacking or deem him unsuccessful in comparison to Daniel’s, simply because Daniel dreamed another man’s dream and Joseph didn’t.

Their assignments were different and they required different activities, even though they were in the “dream industry” 😁.

In this day and age of plug-and-play templates and swipe files, we’re slowly but steadily beginning to lose our individuality. The culture now uses a one-size-fits-all scale to measure success and productivity.

Don’t fall into that trap!

Do not compare yourself with others. According to scripture, those who do this are not wise.

Your race is not against others in your industry, it’s against the version of you from yesterday. The goal is to get better and stay on track, even if you move at the pace of a turtle or at the speed of a hare.

So, give yourself some credit. Acknowledge and celebrate your wins no matter how small they may seem and commit to your purpose.

Your race is personal, and so are the metrics by which you measure your success.

P.S. I’m celebrating a win this year… I finally got started on the devotional that accompanies my latest book “met-her-morphosis”which is available on my store! Looking forward to sharing the details with you shortly.
